Monthly Archives: January 2011

Sunday came and the sun was shining. I was dying to get to the beach and take some shots, but there was work to be done and I wanted sunset shots anyway. So, at around 330 we got into the car…and then the sun went away.   :-(    Typical! Anyway, we still wanted to walk on the beach-well, I did-so  on we went to Garretstown. It’s made up of 3 beaches and is a good surfing area. When we arrived the horizon was pink.

There weren’t enough waves for any surfers, but at least it meant I didn’t get wet taking shots of them!

As we walked on towards the 3rd beach, I noticed the clouds starting to move.

Slowly but surely the sky started to lighten…..

As we were walking back towards the car, we noticed this.

Red Ball

Which turned into this.

And finally, this.

Night Night!

A successful day I’d say!

For the last 3 days the sunsets have been amazing. The one today made me run home from my walk to grab my camera before it disappeared! I have a plan for tomorrow to get to a better location, so fingers crossed the weather will stay the same!

Following on from last week’s jelly bean success, Mike suggested I try a jelly baby story. So here we go.     :-)

Disaster Strikes!!!!

There's a scramble to survive!

We're still standing, ya, ya, ya!

I have to say some of the guys went “missing” and might have met a sticky end! YUM!        :-)

This is the Macro Friday shot for www.bloggingfrombolivia.com to see the other entries! This guy was particularly tasty!

Macro baby!

Have a great weekend!

Another week is about to start and I’m ready for it! We did a lot this weekend-cinema ( I highly, highly  recommend The King’s Speech), nights out, exercise, so we stuck the shepherd’s pie in the oven and went to the beach for the sunset. Fountainstown was looking good.     :-)

We need a little colour in our lives at the moment – well here in Ireland we do anyway. So, I decided to forget about the political mess that’s unfolding as I write, crack out the new lens and play with the jelly beans   Santa brought Mike for Christmas!     ;-)

The last shots is for Macro Friday over on bloggingfrombolivia.com. Head over there to see the other shots.

Have a good weekend!

Pick me, pick me!

My search for the licquorice continues.

Macro Bean :-)
