I haven’t mentioned the general election we had here in Ireland yesterday, or politics at all for the matter, on this blog because I try to avoid bad news as much as possible by taking photos of nice things and visiting nice places! It’s been impossible to avoid it recently though because politicians were canvassing, putting flyers in the letter box and there were these posters everywhere.

This is a typical lamp post, with a few parties vying for a prominent position.

Pick Me! Pick Me!

Today, while I was out for a walk, I noticed this and it made me laugh-which is amazing seeing as I have so much pain in my face from this sinus infection that it hurts to laugh! The idea of this company popping in to clean up the country after the mess that has been made by the out-going government and the banks is funny!     :-)    They might do a better job than a new government and the IMF together!

Time To Clean Up Your Act

It’s too soon to know who has won the election, but it looks as if the next Taoiseach will come from the party represented here.

Have a good weekend!

I’ve been meaning to take a shot of our one and only daffodil for the last couple of days, but the weather hasn’t been good and this sinus infection has really taken all my energy!

I wasn’t working today, so I had no excuse not to take some shots. It was misting slightly and quite windy, but it still looks pretty.
