Last day of Summer

While those of you in sunnier climates are looking forward to another 6 or more weeks of summer, my readers in Ireland and Britain will say “Summer? What season is that?!”

Leaves falling already

By our calendar, which says 21st June is mid-summer, tomorrow is the 1st day of autumn. The leaves are already turning colour and falling. Those in the media holding out for an Indian summer are very optimistic. Here are some of the colours I noticed today.

Colourful umbrellas are the only thing we have to cheer us up! I saw lots of lovely colourful umbrellas today, but it was a bit difficult to walk and take photos while keeping the camera dry!

I particularly liked this woman’s fruity look!

Hmm… summer is a season that bypassed us almost entirely this year. We have yet to have a full week of double-digit temperatures. I wore gloves to take Loki for a walk this morning…

    • It’s been quite miserable here, but at least we have has consistent temperatures in the mid-teens. We can wear a light jacket!
