WordPress Photo Challenge: Home
So, 5 years ago the conversation went something like this….”Let’s just move there cos it’s the best place we can afford. In 5 years we’ll rent it out and move nearer town.” I’m sure it was a conversation people were having all over the country. Then, 7 months later, the world was in economic crisis and we had just bought a house miles away from where our “homes” were. Sigh…
I battles with calling this house home until I finally gave up last year. Now looking back at the many, many photos I have, I realise it has become out home. So, here are my photos for this week’s photo challenge: Home.
Our 1st home.
The day we got the keys.
The sun shone.
And the sun shone a year later when we had an anniversary party.
We’ve had many parties. This is the only photo I can safely put up here!
We grow veggies.
Courgettes being the most successful.
And we’ve celebrated Christmasses here with our families and friends.
And that’s how a house has become a home.
The Christmas cake was a perfect touch — lovely collection.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m sorry I don’t know what Maruti cars are though. They’re our old cars a Micra and a Clio.
Oh actually, back home in India, those cars are called Maruti cars and they were a rage back then
I have never seen similar cars here , that’s why I asked

Home from work early, which is nice, because the governor called a state of emergency. So now I can bunker down with the hubby and wait out the storm.
So far it’s not ‘too’ bad out there, but it is snowing pretty good and the wind is picking up. I cannot believe that about your phone from the lightening storm!!

When you like about it, home is less morter and brick and all about the people inside. People do make a house into a home.
